Rush Limbaugh is the “Buffalo Chip Of The Week.” (9/23-9/29)

Rush Limbaugh calls soldiers who question the Iraq War “phony soldiers.” This remark was made on his radio program last Wednesday. The controversy won’t go away. Harry Reid hammered Limbaugh in the Senate yesterday. Take a look over at Crooks and Liars here. Check out the CNN article. Limbaugh is backpedaling, but he has no defense. The irony is that his show is broadcast over Armed Forces radio. When it was his time to serve in Viet Nam he was given a deferment because of an inoperable skin infection near his tailbone (pilonidal cyst). Convenient.

Considering that he never had to serve in Viet Nam, Rush has no problem playing the chickenhawk. I think if you’re pro-war you should be given a rifle and dropped off on any street in Baghdad. How would Rush feel about the war if he had to do the killing and dying for his country? Chickenhawks talk tough as pundits and radio show hosts. Let’s start sending some of them to Iraq.

Should be taken off of the air as his insults are hurtful and demeaning.
